Enspire to Host Austin ASTD E-Learning Event

Austin, Texas - July 20, 2005 - Enspire Learning is hosting an Austin ASTD E-learning Special Interest Group (SIG). The event will take place at Enspire headquarters Wednesday, August 24th at 6:00 PM.

The topic chosen for this month's SIG is "Austin Game-Based Learning Night: Incorporating Games into Education." The event will include hors d'oeuvres, interactive demonstrations of game-based learning tools, and a presentation by CEO, Bjorn Billhardt and Lead Technology Developer, Jason Craft.

The presentation will discuss how e-learning is evolving away from "page turners" towards simulations and real-world case studies. Examples of Enspire projects, which have used game design techniques to develop training on a variety of subject matters, will be shown.

The event is open to non-ASTD members as well, and should offer a great opportunity for members of both the gaming and training industries to intermingle.
