Enspire worked with GE Aviation to create a Business Immersion program for new hires and for mergers and acquisitions employees. The program is designed to give GE Aviation employees exposure to the business strategy and goals, which leads to a better understanding of their roles within the organization.
The solution is a four-day program that begins with classroom presentations and activities led by GE Aviation leaders, and concludes with the Business Challenge simulation as a capstone experience. Business Challenge is a competitive, multiplayer simulation wherein participants run the operations of a virtual company and practice financial concepts. Through their actions in the simulation, participants see how decisions made in one area of operations affect other areas of the business.
This program was launched in 2012 and has been delivered more than 20 times in the United States and several countries around the world. Business Challenge has received very high marks from this audience, averaging 6.5 on a 7-point scale. The Business Immersion Program received a Chief Learning Officer Learning in Practice Award for Excellence in Simulations and Games in 2012.
