Robert Bell, senior instructional designer and minister of games at Enspire Studios, will be speaking at ASTD International Conference Exposition 2013 in Dallas, Texas. The session titled ““Managing Talent for Results”: a Serious Game for Business Managers that Really Works” will explore the custom serious game developed for ConAgra Foods by Enspire Studios.
Robert’s case study session will showcase the design of ConAgra Foods’ “Managing Talent for Results,” a serious game that incorporates digital and analog game elements to provide a capstone learning experience that addresses the challenges of talent management faced by ConAgra Foods’ managers.
Robert will be joined by Randy Esterling, Director of Enterprise Learning at ConAgra Foods to present their design and development process through discussion and activities that directly introduce participants to the game experience and involve them in key challenges and questions from the game design process. By the end of the presentation, participants will have a clear view into the development of a serious game that really works to support the acquisition of learning objectives for its business manager audience. Trainers, instructional designers, and subject matter experts interested in learning best practices for designing and developing their own serious game experiences – particularly those that build business manager capability – should attend this session.
Apply knowledge of game design and development processes when creating experiential learning experiences.
Identify opportunities for creative collaboration between vendors and clients.
