Join Enspire at ATD TechKnowledge 2017 at Caesars Palace on Wednesday, January 11 for the Gamification Elements to Use for Learning session.
The session looks at conventions of games applied to learning activities. Popular game elements are examined for usefulness to instructional design challenges. You’ll first receive a guided tour of game elements and examples, including achievement, rewards, narratives, time, personalization, and microinteractions. We’ll then work through several gamification use cases.
Gamification elements are useful to address specific challenges faced by instructional designers. They engage and motivate learners, provide practice opportunities to gain confidence using new skills and knowledge, assess learning progress through practice opportunities, and give meaningful feedback to learners to improve performance.
