A company’s success is affected every day by the interactions that happen at the front lines. As new employees make the transition from individual contributor to manager, training becomes a critical component of their success. Transitioning from the role of an individual contributor into the role of management requires increased business acumen, a new set of inter-personal skills and real behavioral change. The new manager must drive results not only through personal contributions and actions, but also by enabling and motivating others to do work that adds value to the organization.
Enspire’s Team Leadership Programs are a blended learning programs that turns individual contributors into leaders. These programs include engaging online training, targeted instructor-led modules, and the Enspire Management Challenge™ simulation (forthcoming in 2012). Specific learning objectives include:
- Understand personality, and predict its influence on relationships with direct reports
- Identify the need and opportunity for coaching relationships, and facilitate effective coaching conversations
- Navigate difficult conversations with direct reports on potentially uncomfortable topics
- Leverage individual experiences and viewpoints in a way that leads to productive, engaged teams
