To be an effective learning tool, a simulation must meaningfully resemble your business environment. Once we've worked with you to understand your business needs and formulate learning objectives for the simulation, we thoroughly study your world. Through interviews, research, and on-site immersion, we discover the best way to simulate your environment.
From our initial research, we develop a design approach that outlines all the aspects of the development—the type of simulation that best suits your business requirement, a feedback strategy, technical requirements, and the level of fidelity.
Part of the power of simulations lies in their ability to let learners see the forest and not just the trees. Our simulation designers use the learning objectives as a lens to focus the simulation on what's important. The details that distract us from making complete sense of the real world can be designed out of the simulated world so only the features of the real world that are relevant to the training remain.
Once the basic assumptions have been clarified, we rapidly develop a working prototype that sketches key portions of the final application—allowing you to interact with the simulated world and provide us feedback on how to tune the simulation. Through a series of iterative reviews, we'll work with you to deliver a simulation that can drive real results to your organization.
For some simulations, we first create a playable paper prototype. Using tokens, poker chips, and lots of notepads, we verify that our simulation concept offers an engaging experience that aligns with learning objectives.
