1) Thiagi asks himself, “Which are more effective: training games or lectures?” He determines that question is difficult to answer. Instead, he says, we should ask a question more like the following: “Which of these two techniques is more effective in helping a group of experienced hotel employees acquire customer-service skills: an authentic simulation game that incorporates critical incidents and includes a lengthy debriefing by an expert facilitator or a lecture with workplace anecdotes followed by a group discussion?”
2) Smashing examines the value of explaining complex ideas with comic books. One of Enspire’s previous projects explained Cisco’s Organizational Learning program using a graphic novel approach.
